An Online Enzymatic Knowledge Machine
I’m currently in the process of building an online enzymatic knowledge machine (mercifully abbreviable to EKM) here. EKMs are a concept I originally introduced in this paper, which forms one of the ten essays of my book Technoethics.
An EKM can perhaps be best described as a text or collection of texts (in the broadest sense of the word, including visual and musical ”texts”) that positively catalyzes self-knowledge and is explicitly aimed at doing so.
EKMs sit then at the cross-section of art and philosophy, and their content may be of a philosophical or artistic form-though most likely both.
A further point about EKMs is they must not just be a theory—as Deleuze has pointed out, a theory is only worthwhile insofar as it functions. So, I invite you to explore the developing site in order to see how it works for you.
The EKM is currently operable. I hope that the site will become a hub for creative activity as well as personal and cultural catalysis. Please consider visiting and submitting a node.
