Selected Work Experience
Durham University
From July to September of 2014, I worked on a summer pre-sessional course at Durham University, U.K. as an EAP instructor.
My duties focused on teaching Chinese students the necessary academic skills, primarily writing, to embark on Master’s level courses at Durham University.
University of Nottingham Ningbo
From January 2015 to January 2018, I worked at Nottingham University’s campus in Ningbo, China as a full-time EAP instructor.
I taught mostly Chinese students academic skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking to prepare them for Bachelor’s level courses at the university.
I was, for part of my tenure, strand leader for the business group of courses, helping to coordinate and manage the other instructors.
I also worked on the online resource development team preparing interactive resources and helping to manage university websites.
Eiredit
From 2019 to 2023, I started and managed my own academic editing business, Eiredit, from Kenmare, Ireland.
I focused on editing primarily Master’s and PhD student’s theses. I also provided English lessons for students intending to take IELTS and other standardized tests.
Thammasat University
from Dec 2023 to Dec 2025, I worked at Thammasat University in Rangsit, Patum Thani, Thailand, where I taught technical writing to STEM students doing international programs.
Here, as course coordinator, I managed groups of up to six teachers, prepared materials, and conducted and administered exams.
I have also worked at Naresuan University, Phitsanulok, Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok, and the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce (UTCC) where I taught a wide variety of courses from Mythology to English for Pharmacy.
My current goal is to focus more on the teaching of literature, philosophy, and creative writing in line with my research interests and authorship.
